Another newbie wants a turbo!

HI,
i'm interested in buying mini and fitting a 1.3turbo metro engine.
I'm sure i'm far from the only one to ask this but, from experience, what sort of cost do you think i'm looking at to buy a mini (aiming for about ?<1000) then buy and fit this engine? Would I be better off also taking from the metro,- the brakes and fule pump? All (or most) work can be done by me and my brother-inlaw.

Your looking at anywhere between 150 and 300 quid for a second hand engine/gearbox with all the bits. Which are:

fuel pump
fuel pressure regulator

Your then going to need some other bits to do the conversion:

Bulkhead box
fuel lines
tube - both for fuel and boost control
turbo downpipe
Air filter

I did mine for about ?600ish (not including car or engine) but thats not the cheapest possible... I eplaced the head gasket etc etc
