hi

i want to do a mini turbo conversion in a few years time but im just trying to find out as much as possible about what is needed etc.
i was just wondering weather a turbo 1275 or a 1293 are anygood for everyday use. if built propoly can you get them to behave in traffic but then be quick round the lanes etc?
also what sort of power could you get out of a 1275 turbo (maybe 1293) that would be good for everyday use?
i think i will be using a T2 turbine of a renault GT turbo if i can get my hands of 1!!

cheers

last time i had it setup it was 120 nana's and about 125 curly wurlys @10psi ...but that was setup by spam so was overfuelling massively etc etc, only made 103 @ 7psi at a recent shootout.

driving to work and back, if i take it easy then its just as good on fuel as my grandad car (rover 214)

its the matt black clubby.

Bingley, West Yorkshire

mine was 111bhp and was perfect for every day driving under boost it was good on fuel too. Never broke down and always made it home, i pushed it a bit far at york and blew headgasket but thats it. They are good reliable cars if you build them without cutting any corners and get them tuned up well.
