Dose anybody know of a decent place to get tungsten carbide grinding bits for my Dremel. Propper dremel bits are way to expensive and the B&Q bits are made of cheese, but very cheep. Some where inbetween the 2 would be great.

Just for a bit of cast manifold grinding.

Cheers

Ben

I wouldnt be using a dremel to cut the castings, they are really a bit too small. I'd start looking into die grinders with larger burrs and mounted points. The mounted points can be dressed to suit the shape your cutting.

If you still want to use the dremel you could be patient and try ebay.

If not, i've used http://www.tooled-up.com for a lot of stuff recently.

I've seen the future and tbh its Pie

Obviously I'm not going to buy a die grinder to do a job a Dremel is quiute capable of. I think people really underestimate the power of the Dremel. It does 35000 rpm and has plenty of torque. You have to take your time a bit, but hey its a one off job.

Ebay is not great as the quality is unknown.

I personally have both, you will be suprised at how powerful the dremel is to be honest.

Cheers for the offer Ben. The dremel is a 3.2mm shank though.

However I have now managed with what I have. A few worn out bits later and the job is done.
