Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Currently looking into buying a trailer for running the mini around.

I'm tempted with the Brian James Clubman 950. Good or bad? I think they seem pretty good, advantage is that there is a dealer 10miles away from me.

Any other good options?

Want something fairly light as my tow car isnt massive

*smiley*

Looks like a nice trailer, never heard any complaints about them.

If I was in the market for a new trailer, it'd probably be top of my list, pu it that way.

Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph

Minno is £400 dearer and you basically only get a winch but it is an option as well. slightly bigger but not alot in it.

Its on the list as well. depends on how much the options come to on the clubman.

Brian James are the best car trailers out there in my opinion.
That is what my Dad has and hence what I use, his is a larger model though as you can get a large people carrier e.g. Espace on his. Brian James trailers always tow lovely, behind the Range Rover you almost forget it is there, I have towed my track car all over the place with it, 80mph on the motorway no problem all day long.
A friend of mine has a smaller tilting bed Brian James, that is also very good.

If I were buying one I would look out especially for trailers that use full size wheels tyres e.g. 13 or 14", as some of the trailers use an odd sized (12" I think) tyre, that are expensive and hard to get hold of in the load rating you require for trailer use.

yes, OK if you are only ever going to move a mini but personally I'd want something with some scope for getting other things on.

The one i was looking at was 5' 3" wide as jim told me his car was just over 5' 1" with 7" rims on. maybe a different offset?

Bigger is better but not when its being stored in a single garage with the mini on *wink*

it's only ever going to have the mini (or other minis) on it so can always earn a few quid shifting minis about.

I'm getting a brand new one, second hand ones dont seem to be that much cheaper and i'd prefer to know its in good nick etc. may as well do it properly and do it once!

i think jim might be right my trailer is 5 foot 5 wide in the bed and the car sits with about an inch and a half either side
