im not haappy with my endfloat in the layshaft. ive stripped 3 boxes up to now (ive got none left) and the thrust washers are all the same, does any one know if any one keeps any stocks these?

im being lazy and ive not rung around hopeing somebody might know where to get them.

You could shim them out adding something at the back of the thrusts-

As Vegard says - shim out if needs be.
You can buy shimsteel off the shelf at decent engineering shops - and easilly cut it to size with sturdy scissors or tinsnips.


I'm unsure if you can get ovesize stuff.

I have found on a few occasions that fitting a new washer at the "small" end of the shaft will take up a few thou if this is all you are out.

First mini turbo to get in the 12's & site perv

i had a chat to someone about this and other thrust washers are unavailable.

i told him i was getting .25mm and he said that was fine and nothing to worry about. Ive sincer managed to get this down to .20 by playing around with other washers, but this is still +.05 above max tolerance.....

cant remember what mine is of the top of my head. your measurements sound familier i might try what TD suggested.*smiley*

Don't think you can get them anymore, i tried Minispares a couple of years ago & they said you couldn't get them.

i measured it again tody and the endfloat was .35mm. so ive been in touch with me engineer shop and they do have shim sheets as TD suggested. so when i pick me block up ill get a bit off him.

I may be able to help. I needed some the other week and found a supplier who still has some. Let me know exactly what you need and i'll try to help. They do charge about 20 quid each though.
