and all for what to see the same cars ive seen at previous shows, to be pushed and bumped around by people that just stand at the same stall looking at stuff for ages and ages and ages.

and the same traders seem to be selling the same vastley over priced stuff they were last year.

any way grumble over

was the guy there selling the spun aluminium wheels, the same as the set vizard had on his car? i see him there with them every year but he wants stupid money for them and everything on his stand

i normally go to bingley hall but i couldnt be bothered this year, i now find shows increasingly to be they are ultra expensive and full of tat

grrr and theres the bmc chap that goes on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on over the P.A

however its quite a fun show for when you just start a project

I went and spent every pound I had which was bloody lot.
I bought some seats from a lad on the way out and didnt have enough uk pounds but I had some euroes and a morrisons £5 voucher which he took and left me with nowt.(good job I had a credit card to buy fuel on the way back to bonny scotland)
Thanks to Dicanio for the cheap ticket which got me in early as well.

And yes he did go on and on and on.

My favourites were the guy selling 2 rusty clubman wings for £220

And the turbo crank for £85!

Aparently that guy sold the spun wheels with brand new tyres for £550!
Last year he was asking nearly double that!

yup it was a really shit static show again. stupid prices for any of the half decent bits and shitloads of shiney tat.

megaminis wanted £165 for a 2nd hand hammerited twin bolt subby, and £125 for a single bolt!!! plus the old boy on the autojumble who wanted £220 for a pair of rusty heritage clubby wings!

Think it's definately the last static show i'll be going to unless i've got a big parts order. All i managed to buy was a couple of flap discs for me grinder and a few panels.

I only went to pick up parts to hopefully get the bits i need to finish my mini, Spent a fair amount of money on new bits then left. There was hardly any cars inside. As usual it was better too look round the car park at the cars people had come in!!

i made it 8 pound each to get in, unless your under 16 then its 7 pound me and my mrs, paid 16 pounds to get in, so im guessing you or your mrs is 15? only joking i bet your a member of the british mini club where they generousley knock you a pound off. i bought a quick shift by the way carl brilliant.

the only show ive ever paid to get in was mitp camping i think, because i boght a ticket before getting there, all the other shows ive either sneaked in or come up with some excuse. its a rip off. The best thing with tinted windows was being able to sneak people in the back too by going out "to meet someone who is lost" then bring them back in covered in blankets haha

I dont know, if its the same guy Im thinking of, hes a complete gimp.

He was advertising a mini for sale, £800 said it was a daily runner, low milage, etc etc, so I went all the way down to Bromsgrove, took about 3 hrs, then spend another hour or so following him to where this mini was kept.

Turned out it was a handpainted shell, no engine, wheels, windscreen or seats. That had been outside for a considerable amount of time.
Tried to convince me it had a 'limited edition italian innocenti rear seat' and that was worth £150 by itself.
Thing is, I think he actually beleived himself.

A whole day of my youth, and a tank and a half of petrol wasted.
Ill never get that day back.
