iam in need of a new motor, but have a few questions.

when was the turbo last serviced / changed.
when was the clutch last changed.
is it still on its origional box.
when was the prop shaft bearings last done,
is it british or import ?
what sort of mpg (laughs his tits off)
i have had experience with scoobies, me cousin had the wrx RA, and has gone through all of the above at great cost.

me next day to day car is going to be what you have 4 grabs, or a V70 D5 (slight diff in power of course)

It is a UK car, cheaper insurance!

I have a load of reciepts i will have to trawl through them another day.

Put it this way it drives lovely with no vibrations or rattles.

MPG....yes just laugh, if you want good mpg get a Yaris.

I can't believe how cheap early imprezzas are nowadays...
They don't even look 'that' dated IMO - not like a '96 mondeo does at least...

jon got ure pm, if you can get some more pics to me i would appreciate it.... out of question what is the mpg, mine is running 28.5 mpg on a good day which is shocking bearing in mind, it is a 1400cc 53 plate car ! and thats when i drive carefull. when i go for a bit sport it drops to around 14 and only get 105 bannanas for it too !

My STi RA does 29 mpg driven VERY VERY gently.

BUT.... mines much shorter gears than Jon's will be. Oh and a fair few more banannas.

Is around 28 driven smoothly...

It used 4 tanks going to le mans and back with varied speeds(very varied!!!)
