well know doubt most people will no this anyway but ill repaet it for those who dont.

checked my sc idler endfloat today with the box and trans case and had 10 thou endfloat, wooohhhh there horsy a bit to much.

so got my beloved micros out and measurered the gasket thickness which was 36 thou then measurered a decent one which was 30 thou so put it all back together for a recheck and hey presto 4 thou .

so before you decide you need bigger thrust washers at £20 a throw just keep a decent transfer gasket at hand as this makes all the difference.

the same can be said about output casing gaskets for the diff.

always looking for them bigger bunches of bannanas

seems to be quiet a difference between different gasket manufactors to what thickness papers they use.

last years from minispares was spot on .

got the same gasket set this year and was way to thick.

Sounds like a man who needs all the help he can...

Inches are all well and good - but they're around 25.4 times too large IMO...

Just measured mine, 14thou. That explains the rattle at idle then!

Checked the gasket but 32" was the smallest. But I measued all the thrusts I had in the garage and they ranged from 131 thou to 137 thou. Picked the 2 biggest and I now have a reasonable 5 thou float.

And the moral of the story "whatever the missus says, don't throw stuff away"

Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph
