Is it possible to fit metro hubs including vented discs, callipers, outer CV-joints to mini wishbones, combined with balljoints from a pre'84 Metro? ( 13mm balljoints?). Then i've got maintenance free balljoints! *oh well*

Dont fit the metro hubs, there is an in depth artical on this in calvers corner:

You can use the disks and calipers - just bolt them onto standard 8.4 disk mini hubs using the metro drive flange and era bolts for the caliper.

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

I thought if you used mk1 metro ball joints and mini steering arms you were ok? *happy*

Never knew metro hubs weren't taper roller bearings....

I imagine using metro hubs with 'mini' 7x13" alloys would be putting a lot of strain on these plain 'ball bearings'...
I remember how often the ball bearings used to give trouble on my old drum braked minis when 6" rims were used...

Yes, Iain,
On one of my former never ended story's ( 1982 mini 1000) I mounted these hubs on a subframe. Selling the "project" before i mounted the front subframe to the shell, left me unaware about the result!
It,s the best solution. Just rip them of a metro. But what about the geometry?

Greetingz, Rob

I used metro turbo mk1 hubs, and they are altering too much the geometry,
to make short , the suspension arms are far from what they were with mini hubs, I went back , and replace the metro hubs with mini ones( still using metro calpers and vented dics), and they gave me again a mini handling manner, this worth an annual hub inspection.
