Anyone know the specification for the injectors used on the 1.1 metro k-series engine?

I think they may be just right for a little project I'm working on.

They did inject them, aye. '94 on, I believe.

Anyway, scotch it, as I've discovered they were single point injection, which isn't any good for my purpose.

I am sure the 105 bhp model was multi point.

Yep, the bigger engines were mpi, but the injectors will probably be getting a little large. What I'm after is a single injector delivering about 7-10 lbs per/hr.
Bosch have a small injector in their range, but I have no idea what that is fitted in.

I want to inject a small 300cc 1-cylinder engine, which delivers about 13bhp on the standard carb.

Looking at a 1.3 Ford Ka now. That engine is mpi, and delivered about 60bhp- 15hp per cylinder sounds in the right ballpark.

Several modern scooters with EFI these days (Honda, Peugeot, piaggio...), but trying to find them in a bike breakers is like trying to find a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow.

Bigger engines are easy to find bits for- the smaller stuff is a bit more problematic.

Another option is to use a larger injector, and reduce the fuel line pressure, some have had success adopting that approach.

Well, I'll probably get absolutely caned for this, bearing in mind this is a site geared towards performance minis, but it's for a 1959 BMW Isetta bubble car.

Basically a scooter with a shell around it!

With a single cylinder air-cooled 4-stroke engine putting out 13 bananas and only about 16-17 curly whirlies, it just about had enough poke to get out of it's own way.

I want to run a taller final drive for a more relaxed cruising rpm (bigger sprocket- chain FD).
Improving the torque figure is my main objective, hence my interest in injection and also mapped ignition.

Plan to use a Megasquirt V3 board, as this allows direct control of the coil, as well as giving the option of upgrading to MSII at a later date if I want to implement idle air control.

I've been plowing my way through the mega manual, quite a steep learning curve, but I'm getting there.

I'm going to visit the breakers next weekend and have a nose round at cars in the 1-1.3 litre range.

Cheers,

That was one of the places I looked.
The smallest Bosch injector at 9.6 lb per hr would be ideal. No idea what that is fitted to though (doesn't say in the list).

Honda Pantheon 125 or 150cc uses an injector that would be ace. The price for new spares made my eyes water though!

I'm thinking the injector from 1.3 Ford Ka would fit the bill. Other possibilities include Fiat Panda, Fiesta etc.

I've got quite a few options. Just have to check the local scrappies.
