Im talking to someone at the moment about buying his 1275 A+ series engine, for a good price. but he then came out with this and confused me lol

it means its to fit a mini and is on a +30thou overbore already.

longitudinal A series lumps are mounted front to back and fit into midgets and stuff.

Just to add; the longitudinal engines (Sprite, Midget, Marina, etc) have a completely different crankshaft that is no good for use in a Mini.

and to FURTHER confuse it - Montego and Maestro 1300's are transversely mounted, but are to all intents longitudinal engines. LOL!

£80, with everything, and it was re-built 5000 miles ago with reciepts *happy*
