Still like Mk5 Cortinas for their ugly, but brutally stong functionality! And this one looks like more of a hoot than most!*laughing*
No doubt the void-bushes in the rear axle don't last long!

Back in the 90's my dad was doing quite a lot with Cosworths, he sold a Cosworth engine to a bloke who put twin webers on it and used it in NA form, in a Cortina with an auto gearbox.....

I went out for a ride in it, it was hilarious to say the least!

i used to have a tina mk5 with a 3.5L rover v8 in it, lasted a few hundred miles before it ripped itself apart as was only bodged together. Great sound tho :)

Alex, i'd love a Mk2 escort with a Essex V6 like the cortina mk2 Savage :)

lol, more tina mk5 hell http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/COOL-TINA-CORTINA-MK...bayphotohosting

I couldn't agree more. The colour and the wheels make it looks like a Chavved up 80CC ( Of which I've owned three)

I must be the only person who isn't keen on the dolly's then... Can't believe they were still making them in 1980; a sign of the state of the british motor industry I guess....
