doing the measuring up and to get the metro rad, an intercooler and an oil cooler up front is almost impossible. I'm going to make a visit to the local scrappy to have a poke about in some cars for smaller rads but i'm just wondering if i'm wasting my time with front mount.

This has been covered plenty of times I think. The side mount does a fine job. The 2 core one from minispares is the one to go for IMO.

will a side mount still be as effective without a inner wing? As long as you keep the fan and the cowling it should be fine. We run ours like this and have no problems. I ran it on the road (non turbo) for years with no problems either. If you are worried, you could always make an alloy inner wing. Wil Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph

the design shows a distinct lack of imagination, talk about starting off with a clean sheet of paper, then not bothering to fucking draw on it,lol On 20th Apr, 2012 Paul S said:
I'm mainly concerned about swirl in the runners caused by the tangential entry. |

cool, think i'll scrap the front mount plan for now then, also means i can ditch the expansion tank too.
