i have rebuilt my 1275 turbo. so it is now time for the gear box. is the standard box any good for weekend driving and the ocational avon park bash. i have a central oil pick up and a mini spares 4 pin diff. the engine i hope will be running about 125-130 ish bhp. hear are my mods.

1275cc std metty engine
t2 turbo
rs turbo intercooler
mirage manifold
ported and chambered head to 29cc
high capacity oil pump
phase 2 cam
ultra light steel flywheel
grey cluch cover
ap racing racing clutch plate

If in Doubt, go flat out !!!

Mitsi Evo 7, 911, Cossie. & all the chavs ...... won no problem



dont forget straight cut drops.

if these are not fitted you will run into problems with that kind of power!*frown*

make sure the clearances are right on the S/C Idler & primary gear
also change the first motion shaft bearing, as a mileage one will be US

the helical gears should hold out if you do the above.

of course there are more mods etc on gearboxes but where do you stop!

Regarding the ratio of the F/D 3.2:1 turbo box

on 13s for what you want is just about right.

my advice is given on the questions you asked.

dont end up with a gearbox like this through not following the above advice buddy*wink*

you have gone this far at rebuilding etc..... dont spoil it
