Can anyone tell me the preferred clearance between the end of the Ford EDIS sensor and the toothed wheel?

Thanks Wil_h

Answered in less than two minutes - not long enough to drink me cup of tea before I get back to the barn!

Don't mount closer than 0.5mm however... They can ceate a high enough spike to kill fragile ECU's if mounted too close *wink*

I've just modified the bracket to give about 1.5mm - that looks close enough to me. The bracket is not that stiff and I'm a bit worried about vibration.

Presumably there is a maximum at which it will not work.

Time for another cup of tea while the paint dries and I can try it again.

Thanks everyone.

I'll leave it at 1.5mm.

If it does not work I'll let you know.
