Hi guys, yesterday i was taking the pistons out of my block. I was undoing the bottoms of the rods and pulling the pistons out through the top as described in the haynes.

Are you going to be using the same pistons and rings when you rebuild? If not can you remove the piston ring that has opened up then the piston should beable to push back up the bore.

2 steady hands and some sharp screwdrivers should see the oil scrapers pushed back into the pistons and the piston back into the bore. will be fidly as hell but do-able. turbo 16v k-series 11.9@118.9 :)
