i was just driving home from work down a duel carage way and i was doing 70mph and then i floored it and the f-ing clutch starting spining the engine revs went up but the didn't speed up. me thinks it one dead clutch, but i don't think a standerd clutch will keep this grip, im running a 1340 stage 3 engine and it just seems to sping the clutch as soon as i floor it. what do you guys and girls think i should put in

Alex ,
what is your engine power and what is your, use?
an orange diafragm and a std plate without the springs from a good manufacturer is making a very good job and will not destroy the flywheel and back plate as a sintered plate will do.

ps: the orange diafragm will be as easy as a std set up

right power is about 95bhp to 100 ball park, not sure haven't been on the rolllers, its not a turbo. its a every day use car, it needs a stong clutch in it,

for that sort of power a std plate will be largely suffisant, I use it in my ex turbo and I didn't burnt it in one year, as I dismantled the engine the last two weeks to rebuild it, it as been carefully inspected and decided to let it .

I'm using a sintered plate with a grey diaphram, mine still slips a bit when on full boost

it's only going to get worse when I fit my lsd, so I think I'm going to have to machine the lugs on the backplate. I'm trying to avoid using double grey as I like my thrusts

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

Verto clutches are a lot heavier and also more expensive than non-verto. Plus there is the inability to upgrade them as easily. If you want to stay verto though then a std metty turbo clutch should be up to your needs.
