the metro turbo seem to had two different advance curves, one for the mk1 with the blue cover (clipsed) and one with black cover (screwed), Edited by AlexB on 7th Mar, 2004. |

Not sure but the Mk1 is supposed to be the better of the two. |

I have an email from someone a LONG time ago that wanted to know the differnce, so gained access to a distributor test rig. Both the units he tested were exactly the same....

Ive got an Aldon modified Mk1 unit to try but i think i may be going for mappable ignition, if im going to do a job im doing it properly :)

Hi Dave, that comparison was done by me about 2 years ago. I wiil have a look on my firm computer if I can find the file. But I think you are right, there was no difference in the advance curve!

Im into modifying advance curves at the moment, so what does anyone think the curve 'should' be like? Dizzys are well renowned to have the wrong curve so as not to be anywhere near preignition. this, of course looses power.! Sooperdooperturbocooperexpertengineering! |
