I have just bought a load of parts, one of which is an engine. I would like to know if there is anyway of telling what works been done to it before i strip it, what type it is and who did the original work?

The engine number tag has been removed but several other numbers have been stamped by someone?

CAM6979 on the cyclinder head water stat end.
3 45 82 followed by 361 on the cyclinder head clutch end.

1846 82480 on the rear side end of the engine block.

WFM 1024 on the cast A+ block

Double valve springs with larger exhaust stems, with a yellow marking on the spring top exhaust collet only

bore is about 70mm with very deep centre dished pistons.
