Hey all
Just getting my list of parts together!
what type do you reckon i should use for these?
any suggestions would be great! oh its for a 998cc turbo!

Camshaft you are using? Cylinder head? Valve sizes? Turbo?

Right as suggested im gonna use the mg metro cam, 12g295 head (untouched) with standard valves and a t2 turbo!

Im building it so i know how to do it with my uncle then taking it from there mod wise!

I'd say go for 1.3:1 ratio rockers. I think with the MG cam in a 998 the 1.5:1 rockers may make the engine a bit extreme for road use.

TBH unless you have a huge budget you may be just as well to stick with the standard sintered rockers.

Tom is right,stick with the standard 1.3 ratio rockers,my 998 turbo,using an Avonbar phase 2 cam,12g295.IHI RHB5 turbo, made 5bhp less using 1.5 ratio roller rockers.These were changed over on the rolling road on the same day,so there were no other variables to explain the lost 5bhp.

The ph2 cam I use is the earlier one I think,it has had nothing special done to it to suit the 998cc.
I used this cam in the 1293cc engine as well,it made the same power as the kent 500,which I think is a copy of the MG Metro cam,it just moved the peak power 1000rpm up the rev range.
