Hiya you lot!

I picked up my lovely Mini just before X-mas with a view to a quick rebuild. Well that went out the window with the discovery that the sills and front end were totally rotten! Never mind!

Anyhow, it's getting rebuilt as we speak, and at the moment with just the standard 1275, but eventually I'll be looking at doing a short-stroke, 8(or 7)-port turbo motor. It's a while away yet, so I'm just gathering information inbetween chopping large bits of steel out in the garage!

I had a few minis in the past (like 15 years ago!), and I've built a couple of GTMs, but this time I thought I'd actally do a proper mini with an actual steel shell! Scary!

Well, I'll get some pics in when there's something worth seeing, But I'm sure you've all seen a mini shell with lots of rust!

Mike

upload the pic somewhere (you can use the main site on here if you need to) and then put the url between two [img ] [/img] tags.

i.e. [img]http://www.turbominis.co.uk/pic.jpg[/img]

Ta Alex.

Well, this is Der Porsche as of a couple of years ago. I've done a few things to it since, and I'll get some good'uns up tomorrow!

and this is the beast that is a TR8 that had to go so the Mini had a garage to sit in! It was my car, but my Dad liked it more than the TR6 that sat i there beforehand (I actually bought him a hairy chest wig and a medallion so he'd fell better driving it! He wasn't amused!)

Enjoy!

I used my space on TMF to host them (It has to come in useful for something!). Maybe it's not allowing it (although I see them OK), and the forums running a bit slow. Have a look later, or I'll put some new ones up tomorrow anyhow!

Thanks all.

I'm glad to hear it Benross. You'll see when I get up pics of the Porsche that I like to have a play with turbo motors. It's running about 430BHP at the moment, so I'm looking forward to playing with a smaller engine that's a bit more manageable!

It is most certainly difficult to cut the wheat from the chaff when it comes to performance forums. From what I've read so far though, you guys seem like you know what you're on about when it comes to force inducting the A-series! It's always a good sign....

Oh and Alex, pics sent!

I've already posted them in the Show Us Yours section, matey :) (see your email)

430bhp .. beautiful. I've always loved old 944s!

There is no better forum for Turbocharged A-Series.
