Sweet. Ta Alex. Actually the pop-ups on the Porsche annoy me. There is a kit to change them to fixed lights behind perspex, but the quality is rubbish (and I have a job on my hands doing a mini at the moment!) Most of the time I just run it on the driving lights (they are pretty good with the wiring mods and higher wattage bulbs i've fitted)

A contrast indeed! The TR8 has had to go to make room in the garage for the mini project, but if you keep your eye out in retro cars magazine, the guy that bought it is in an article soon. He has that now and a racing TR8 and is the registrar of the TR7/8 section of one of the triumph clubs. (and a bit of an anorak!)

I'll get some more uptodate ones of the Porsche tomorrow, and a snap of the mini progress. The Porsche has moved on a bit since that pic. It has a few more ponies now......

Thanks for pointing that out Wil! In my defence it is a PITA to get a spot around here, and I did leave a bit of a bigger space to be able to get some snaps!

Carl, Nope It's solid underneath. It was completely rebuilt and anything that needed replacing was replaced! A bit like the mini will be.....

Seriously though always liked the 924/944/968 type porsches, looks good with the 911? wheels on. I'd still love a 968 Clubsport.

Not a big fan of TR7/8s but there were some nice rally ones at the Historic Motorsport Show at the weekend.

Mini engine (just standard right now!):

Front subby (waiting for me to fit brace bars):

Hole in front sill! (where the rust was/is):

Rear sill!!!! :

The body is the same on both sills, so I have a lot to do! I'm waiting for the bloomin parts though and getting very frustrated!
