hi i have just fitted a new dizzy (100ayp) to my 1275 a+ engine.removed the electronic ignition dizzy to put this aldon points dizzy in.set the timing to 12 degrees seems to run fine on tick over but under acceleration seems to miss and hesitate also my rev counter occasionaly jumps like it has a hiccup. it was fine before i swapped over the dizzys.

any ideas on where i might have gone wrong or what is going on?

did you change the coil too?

a lucas gold one, or a regular points coil should be fitted too
