hi all, me and the grumpy mechanic got my mini running for the first time last nite, it fired up easily, and ticked over nicely, everything was good.

i'd get one of the avonbar carb springs but as for the needle an off the shelf one just wont cut it, you'll need to have it setup properly by a decent RR operator... On 20th Oct, 2015 Tom Fenton said:

yeah i thought so, will the rr guy reprofile the existing carb needle. but for now running it in will be ok till it goes on the rollers? ill have a look at avon bar now cheers bud.

It wants to be checked on the rollers before running in as well. you can still do as much damage running in if too lean or rich.

an Avonbar 12 psi needle will place you in the ballpark safley to 10psi of boost

so how do u safely run over 12 psi if the avon bar needles are only good for 10?

Mikechanic's in congleton is our closest RR he setup my mini and reprofiled the needle did a good job too. |

i work in congleton mikeanics is about 2 mins walk from my work. hes set a few of my mates cars up and done a fab job. ill have a chat with him cheers guys
