Right...........I'm purely after feedback to this thread. As we all know the turbo inlet manifold and plenum chamber are becoming hard to come by. We've had a quote to get these remade.
As follows:- Inlet manifold price each would be £68 plus vat (give or take a few squids)
:- Plenum chamber would be about £95 plus vat.

The inlet would be a direct copy but the plenum would have the 'safety' dump valve hole blocked and have a dump valve take off.

I know it sounds a lot but this the the best we can do, If you take into account tooling costs and the amount we would have to get made.

So what do you guys think??? Should we get these made??

Thanks

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

i wouldnt bother with a direct copy of the plenum. i'd make one with a good intercooler takeoff and DV takeoff. one at each side.

This would make things easier.

Of if you do want to retain the original one i'd copy the montego/maestro one instead of the metty one but with a common size for the intercooler *smiley*

The plenum would have a DV take off. We're not doing anything with the smaller 'pipe' part of the plenum. just the larger half.
cheers

I've already got a plenum chamber laid out in CAD, and the sections on a DXF ready to be water-jet cut and welded together once my Tig arrives (courtesy Tax returns) *wink* These will also be based on my experience with my own plenum design and trying different restrictors.

I was thinking of selling these for £50 a shot on fleabay...

Don't want to be treading on any toes mind!

The prices of turbo parts are rocketing upwards it seems!

I am keeping hold of all my stock now, as it would be hard to replace any of it for reasonable money it seems!
