This will probably mean nothing to most of you, but it really annoys me, as i use the internet alot for references data.
I know not to trust anything i read on the net, this is a good example...

Ive been looking up the bore and stroke of a 998 on the net by typing into google:

"bore stroke 998 mini"

and found that most sites have it incorrect:

http://www.motorbase.com/vehicle/by-id/33/

http://www.miniresource.com/performance.php

http://www.classiccarsmagazine.co.uk/vehicle/by-id/33/

http://www.practicalclassics.co.uk/vehicle/by-id/332/

...have it wrong, giving the bore as 62.9mm (which gives 948cc).

infact the only sites i found with the correct bore is wikipedia and minispeed (64.58mm).

(I was about to email alex, afracing, to say his (very handy btw) spreadsheet was all to cock till i double checked the maths myself!!)

basically i think this highlights how mistakes are muiltiplied on the net by lazy people copying errors.

rant over,

Jo
