Slowest vehicle on the roads......

Well up until this morning I was fairly confident that my girlfriends VW Polo, built from girders and with a measly 1.0 litre engine was probably the slowest car on the road.

That was until I picked up the car I am repairing an oil leak on for a friend of a friend, a Nissan Terrano II 2.7 TD Intercooler.

2.7TD Intercooler I hear you say, surely that goes OK?

Well at the moment I am seriously wondering if it is terminally ill or broken. But GOD it is slow. I am fairly sure my Dad's 7.5T lorry is faster, seriously. 0-60 in ...... no sorry, you've run out of road.

sounds as bad as my diahatsu fourtrack 2.8d 0-60 infinity LOL
this is why its getting a 3.9 EFI v8 from a rangerover in it.

I am now convinced its broken. Its just desperately slow.

My money is on the mass air sensor u/s.

prob my mini, serious engine and clutch problem ment i topped out at around 25mph on sunday.

It was so slow pulling awat i go overtaked by a gritter lorry!!!

thankfully im gettin my new engine this sunday.

he drove my wifes polo and my mini turbo engine in the boot from airport when i went to hollidays. that was the slowest car ..... i belive he was disappointed to drive it.

My 1.1 metro that runs on lpg, has to be in first gear to go uphill

i dont know if its the same engine as my nav, but thats 2.5 and thats quite nippy

however i think the series 1 landrover would give the terrano a good run for its money, thats slow as hell 55mph flat out

scary as hell too, ive probably reached that speed 3 times, once i got a blow out and the other the brake pipe had rubbed through on the wheel, resulting in a 50mph roundabout incident where a police car pulled out in front of me!!!! yikes

im going to buy a very very slow car soon

slower than all the above especially when towing

then im going to hog the road infront of mr fenton lol

my 1.2i novas got to be up there with the slowest cars some where.

lol try a TATA loadbeta pickup with a full compliment of sand! dont think it managed more than 40mph on the A roads! i managed 70 once, but it took the entire m62 from leeds to hull and when i got home the track rod end fell off!. was built like a brick tho. 2 tons of best indian craftsmanship!

I`ve got a terrano 27TD LWD and it pulls the wife horses box all over the place with loads of torque

I had an old 950cc fiesta for when my mini was off the road.
Was an awesome car....slow, ugly and pathetic, but great fun cos you could just abuse it.

I couldnt kill it no matter how hard I tried, ended up selling it for a fiver to a scaghead. ohhhh happy days!!

i dont think she actually uses the accelerator!!!!!!

if we pull out on a car 75meters away and my mums driving it can get abit hairy!!!!!!
