My experiance with a T3 and a 998 show a boost threshold around 4500rpm.
Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph

Well we run a 4.1 with 13" wheels (the slicks make them a very tall wheel) and the minspares CR set which has a really tall 1st. When racing it works fine. We end up grabbibg 1st on a few corneres where the 1380 use 2nd as they run even lower diffs, butthey rev to 8K of course.

that was a good indication of the parts mate, is really helpful for my turbo 998 project.is the intercooler optional then since the metro turbos didnt use intercoolers.is it just down to personal preference and how much boost you want if you choose to have an intercooler or not? |
