Hi,
I’ve just registered and my first post will be about myself.
I’m Peter, 24 years old and live in the south of the Netherlands, near Venlo.
I have a 1993 SPi Cooper. It’s slightly tuned (stage 1 head, ITG airfilter, MD274, 3.44 diff and planning some more!) butt as I already heard, it’s not very suitable for turbo’ing.

That is where my other future project will come in handy. I’ve already got a Metro Turbo in my garage, the only problem is that is hasn’t run in maybe 10 years.
So all the parts are already there, butt they’ll probably need a little check…

The car where I would like to fit these parts in is a Mini pick-up. I don’t have this car, so everything is still possible. I hope to find a 1981 (my year off birth) model with 998cc engine where the turbo will be fitted on. (I know, it’s very popular nowadays)
I will be reading a lot more on this forum than I will be writing. So I hope that I’ll find a lot of information.

The Mini-forum that I normally visit, www.minisevenclub.nl, doesn’t have the information I need for turbo’ing an a-series. And when you mention it, the first link you’ll get is to this forum, that’s why I registered here! The only problem is my English, I’ll hope it’s good enough to understand what’s being written.

When nothing else will work, start smashing it with a hammer.
It’s probably not gonna work butt it gifs a good feeling, though!

Hi Peter welcome to the forum, I am sure you will find the info you need here!

Also your English is faultless, so no problems there!

Thanks all!
My English is maybe more then average, butt understanding specific words or proverbs according to automotive engineering will be difficult.
And otherwise, a vocabulary is always near!
