Staffordshire or Northamptonshire

You can but life will be shorter than a petrol unit. The material specs are different for the turbines.

My sister is so fit I won't show anyone her picture

Lake District

A friend of mine {Mike} has been using Turbos from various diesels on his Mini sucessfully for years. Granted he doesn't cover a huge mileage, but they can be picked up for bog all at the scrappy so a couple of years use for £10 sounds like good value to me.

Not very sunny swanage

just echoing what has already been said.... may not be the best choice for long life, but works fine.... probably wouldnt buy a diesel turbo if i was buying a brand new one, but for the sort of life we expect anything to have, and given theyre availibility, they seem more than suitable....

And on the 7th day........... God created turbochargers!

KKK turbo on my 306 TD is currently running a shade over 1.5 bar quite happily. It is virtually identical in spec to a T2.

Its not too bad. The Spannerbitch Racing rear exhaust section mod (e.g. there isn't one) also made a big improvement.......
