Putting a A+ gearbox on a Pre A+

I have a 34,000 mile 998cc A+ engine, and my 1040cc pre A+ engine with no gearbox which im turbo'ing.

Will the gearbox fit from the A+? Do i use the drops that were in the 1040cc still?

I cant afford to get a decent straight cut gearbox yet and i dont want to do half a job by getting a standard one refurbished, so instead im just going to put a hardened diff pin in this one if it is compatable and use that until next year.

You can use all the A+ stuff, just as long as you use the flywheel housing from the A+ as well. The difference is the size of the idler gear shaft size, this fits into the transfer gear casing one side, and the gearbox casing the other side.

cool thanks! Ill use all the stuff on the 998cc then. Im going to count the teeth on the diff gears inside to work out the final drive
