Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

Just make one up, max it out at 25 degrees. just take the standard curve from a dizzy basically.Won't be ideal but more than enough to get you running. If your feeling lazy then 25 degrees advance through the range will do for now.

Although i thought that the megajolt had a limp home mode with 10 degrees fixed?

not with you ian as i dont know what the std ignition curve is!!!!!! i have been having major problems with pinking before i fitted it so need it tweaking everywhere really.

yes it should run with 10 degrees failsafe, but for some reason, it wont!

This is our map, it's on plenty of threads on this forum. For safety, I would retard the whole map by 2 deg as a starting point. MS has this function somewhere in the software.

Iain is right about the 10 deg failsafe, the car should start and run without the MS attached if you are using an EDIS, it would run crap though.

thats with no throttle applied though gav *smiley* i.e. on overun as such or light throttle openings. when load is applied the max advance is 28.

You could quite easily fill the lot 25's. basically the same as fitting a locked dizyy. would get the engine running before it could be mapped properly.

That is aturbo MAP yes. We've only rewally mapped on-boost and rampup arears of the map. All the crusing areas (red and yellow bits) are a total guess.

We never cruise so it's not a problem for us. They are all in low or zero boost parts of the MAP so aren't a problem , they'll only affect economy.

Just to clarify. on that map above 100kpa is on boost, below is off boost and can be mapped like a NA car (sort of)

Firstly, are you using an EDIS? If so, disconnect the Ms completly, you don't need it to start the car.

Have you checked to see if there is a spark? and you are definately getting fuel?

My car took ages to get going on the MS, turned out I had the sensor wires connected back to front. So worth swoping them over to see if it makes a differance.

right. got it running today finally. blagged us a bit because we have got the plug leads wired up 1234 as on the coil pack which has blagged us!!! it runs though. the runtime display works on the mj but it doesn't seem to be seeing the inputs we change in the ignition table. ???????????? hmmmmmm at least it runs again now. it even whistles at 2000rpm!

It won't see the edits you make to the ignition tables straight away, you have to edit them, and then upload the edited map to the ECU before it will use whatever you have got entered on screen.
