Just wondering, has anyone ever managed to get a 1litre turbo tuned up right tuned using a metro turbo distributer, or is the only right way to do it using something like Megajolt?

I saw one on ebay the other week thats all and they had problems with the running on standard ignition parts.

what did willh use?

thankyou

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

any dizzy can be locked to prevent advance weights moving then run fixed advance. i'm sure this is the way wil and ben did it before they used MJ/MS.

25 degrees fixed advance should do the trick. wont be ideal by a long way off boost but it all depends on what the cars used for.

It's an ok section isn't it?

Anyway, yes, we ran at fixed 25 deg and a locked dizzy for a couple of years.

i am running electronic advance of my engine. Seems to work just fine. I have a couple of lucas electronic ignition amps in my spare parts. are they worth anything or are they junk?

Caution !!!! Slippery when boosting

Just read an article in the new minimag (thanks T3 tone for encouraging me to buy it! haha)

read about the weights and things so ill get them to stop moving and set the advance to 25 degrees like you.

Im going to try and find out if this aldon one is any good first though

What is the point of spending money on an aldon dizzy that has a custom curve mapped into it with weights and springs when you are going to weld the cunt up solid anyway????

If you are going to go down the clockwork "half a job" weld it up route USE A STD ONE.
