Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with Yokohama A032R Tyres in either the hard or soft compound. I am planning on doing a bit of track work and street driving. What did you thin? did they last long etc

they will not last long, I have not tried much else than the 032RS's but they where good enough to get the car up on two wheels in the corners:) |

seem fine to me for day to day driving. they tend to let go quite easily though if the roads a bit damp. On 20th Oct, 2015 Tom Fenton said:

I have used A008's and A008R's a lot, they grip very well in the dry, especially when warmed up. They also last usefully longer than 032R's.

ive got the 32s i think in soft well they have a s stamped on them. i was very impressed with them at combe last year but i dont rekon that theyll last long on the front i rekon a couple of thousand miles at the most if a couple of track days is done maybe less with some dag action. i was thinking of having 2 sets of wheels one for normal use and 1 set for for racks but at the moment i dont use it on the street so not bothered no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

I run A008s now (finally) and have been really happy with them on the road. As others have said - careful in the wet, and nothing stupid. :) Going uphill the other day in the rain and ran across some drainage water flowing across the road - got a little skittery, but nothing tooooo bad. I was thankful it was just my stock 998.

Well I intend to get a pair of these and two spare rims and use tyre softener on them. Fit them on the front, Just for the drag strip alone. A good wheel spin free start is what its all about i believe and whats beter than having the stickiest tyres you can get hold of. Mind you the wear life will be minimal. Is it A-Series only? I think it should be... So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'... On 26th Oct, 2004 Tom Fenton said:

actually a small amount of wheel slip gives you more grip....
