Hi all,

I'm new here, sorry to be rude and rush in with a question but it's kind of urgent.

I'm hopefully getting my hands on a Metro Turbo engine in the next day or 2 but I don't know what condition it is in. Which parts are the most important? I have a couple of 1275 a-series knocking about but I need to know which parts need to be present on the new engine to endow me with turbo power. Turbo, carb, plenum chamber, fuel pump? Anything else?

Also, I'm giong to have to take the guys word for it that the engine is ok but are there any simple checks I can do on the turbo bits to give me an idea of condition?

Lastly, are the blocks the same from the head down? This new engine has been stood in his garage for a few years so the pistons might be seized but can I whip all the turbo bits off and put them on one of my other 1275s?

Cheers all, if I get this engine I will be back to pester for loads of info!

Oh, in anyone is interested its hopefully going to be fitted to this thing.... http://www.offroad-buggy.com/
