**RR Update**1st race SILVERSTONE APRIL 1st.

Ok, my first real race ever is next saturday.

I have recieved my joining instrutions, there are 13 cars competing for points on the grid.

In my race there will be 4 classes, A standard MG Metros, B modified MG Metros and my class C that is the modified MG metro turbos of which there are 7 in class.Class D is normally very highly modified K series twin cams that score no points as they are an open class with very few rules as far as mods go.

The action starts at 9am with practice and qualifiing for the 9 races held that day, practices goes on until 12.15 ish.

The races start after lunch at 13.15, each race is 15 minutes long.

There is a great mix of cars in the nine different races, metro, Jags,Modern MG ZR & TF's,Triumph GT6's,Spitfires,TR 4's,TR V8's,MG BGT's & Midgets.

Possibly the most interesting(and expensive!) class is the BRDC Historic sports saloons. Lotus 11's,15's and xv11's,Lister Jaguars,Cooper Monaco's,Willment Climax's,Cooper Bobtail.

Looking forward to watching those from the pit wall!

i've got some tickets to use at silverstone for any of the clubman events this year, looks like a good selection of races, might see you there jon!

Ref the video, yes you can video in car but the rights belong to Silverstone circuit and they fine people who publically show off their own footage.

So went to MR Baldwins today, to honest the car was pretty much about spot on with only a 3 bananna gain.

The engine was run up thoroughly, checking ignition timing and fueling.

I am not publically going to spout the bananna count but it goes to prove theMG Merto(NA) cam is a very good piece if kit, giving strong power to 7500 rpm.

All at "around" the half a bar of boost mark.

Put it this way I and Peter were very happy with results, no flat spots and strong power all the way to the rev limit.

I think that the black cross 10 race thing is a maximum limit. If other race goers agree, you can have it removed much sooner than that. Even 1 race if you impress enough!
