Help please! Just removed my head as i had gasket failure. To find i've a slight crack inbetween 2 valve seats. The head is a full race item with 31mm X 37mm valves. I see that some companys offer repairs! Has anyone else had a repair like this done? And if some was it worth it?And did it work? |

if this is for a road car, try useing smaller valves on your next head, much les likely to crack. sure someone more in the know wil be able to advise on actual sizes. turbo 16v k-series 11.9@118.9 :)

I just received a cracked 1275 head. I did carve out the seats to fit hardened seats and then had it pressure tested. No leaks at all.

Mine gets in the way a bit, but only when it is up. If it is down it does not cause a problem. |
