so would the montego carb be fine to bolt onto the mg metro turbo motor. just checking i no where i can get one for cheap good for a spare. thank heaps guys hard to get any answers in nz .

my mini has a cold

As long as its a Montego turbo, it's the same except for the choke. The Montegos had an automatic choke. You will need to get a conversion kit to manual. This is what I did with mine.

cheers mate do i need to ajust anything on the carb? like mixture or jus bolt on an start.?

Not bolt on and start I'm afraid. Although the car will start the needle will be wrong and you will need a RR session to get one callibrated for your car.

And don't forget what I said above about the choke.

about the choke could i swap the mannal choke from the metro and switch it with the montego? it will be hard to get a kit in nz

If you have a metro carb then use that. It is exactly the same as the montego item apart from it has the correct choke mechanism on it.

Carbs don't just get "stuffed".

It may just need a rebuild.

It is important to get this vital component up to full health, a rebuild kit and a couple of hours will have it good as new.

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

i'm sure its electronic so there is nothing to control it. thats about it really. plus its something else to go wrong! lol!

also with that choke montego . it gets in the way with the turbo outlet.
