Hi there,

turbo Van passsed MOT yesterday, just a few more things to do before daily driver. I am planning to install a BOSCH leccy waterpump (auxillary only). I did a search but there isn't a conclusive position to fit the pump? I am planning to fit it in the heater return into the bottom hose running from a heated rear window relay- any other alternatives?

Why not? Coolant circulation on shutdown is a good idea, I am using a GT17 with water cooled bearings so it makes sense to me...

I run mine in the middle of the bottom hose, between the rad and the old water pump

Will have a play today and fit it in the bottom hose. I have a turbo timer as well but my only worry is that even on tickover heat is being produced by the engine so it is still difficult to avoid heat soak.

Yeah, turbo timers are great for the turbo, but pointless for the engine. Minis usually get hot ticking over rather than when moving

You can wire up a fan to the rad and it will cool the water going round the engine when on the timer
