OK, Not specifically a turbo question, but.....

Since fitting a Clubman fibreglass front end out I've discovered it's slightly narrower where the arches fit so my Gp 5 Race arches no longer cover the wheels (front end's strange - grille (just) fits and it lines up with A panels, but it's narrower along the wings.)

Does anyone have Miglia arches fitted? I need something 100mm (4") wide at the top for the front wheels. I noticed Curley's sell 'Miglia' and 'Miglia wide' options;

- I've tred asking him but his e-mail keeps bouncing.

Cheers, Pottsy.

Well I'm just in the process of fitting some Curley Miglia arches to my GRP clubman frontend. They will easily cover my 7x13s, if that answers your question.

They are designed for the 'normal' mini front though, and require some fettling on the front edge to get to fit.

You would need some serious wheels to need the 'wide' ones.

7x13s - snap. Starmags. Miglias sound sound promising, and yes, I was expecting a degree of fettling to be necessary.

Have you found the quality of the arches OK? Heard they'd become a bit "below average" lately?

well I bought the GRP ones not the carbon, and they look pretty good to me. They are thin, but that makes them nice and light.

My wheels haxe a 10mm bigger offset than the starmags, , so they'll easy cover you wheels, might even need a bit of a trim

Gav, yep, Copy and pasted the Curley e-mail address into Outlook but it bounced. I've also e-mailed SMB Composites but I've heard the chap that runs it is in hospital? From Wil's comments though the Mig arches shoudl be OK. Strangely it'll work out "cheaper" to get them in Carbon Fibre too - they're £40 more than the GRP arches but it'll got an extra £50 to have the GRP ones sprayed black.

And just to prove there's 4" to cover I'll nip out and take a pic. (will pop it in my 'members motors bit, dunno how to put it anywhere else!) Camera's out anyway as I've just uploaded a pic my "icing on the cake" - the Stack tacho that's about to be wired in! Once I make some brackets that is.....

FeebleUK - the Group 5 'race' arches I have i think may be the same as the Gp5 Euros - I bought Gp5 initially to find they were too narrrow, and went back to Mini Sport to get the 'race type which are 1/2" wider.

Thanks to everyone for checking their arches out for me though.

Pottsy.
