italy - tuscany- massacarrara

Dear friends, hello from Italy,

I have finish my turbo estate clubman, all is new, turbo, head,
pistons, valvles, but ther is a big problem, if i go normal, when
i stop for example at a lamp, when i open gas the car smoke!!
Also in the car there is parfum of oil at fire!!
What can it be if the turbo is new? All New? The engine have
now around 100 Km, i dont know if is the new engine that
have this type of problem.

If all parts are new it will take some time for it all to bed in.

It is nothing to worry about at this stage, get a few thousand kilometres on it and then see how it is then.

Might be worth checking oil presure when i built mine i had 90PSI at tickover when the engine was warm it was being forced into the exhaust through the turbo

love that straight cut scream!!!

Have you got a decent drop and no restrictions in the oil return dump pipe from the turbo?....the pipe that returns the oil into the engine.
Ive had major problems with mine, used pull up at lights, intersections or pull up to gas station to refill...my car will suddenly blow clouds of blue smoke for a half a minute from the exhaust.
It was caused by oil building up in the turbo and coming out inlet and exhaust ports on the turbo.....and this was my brand new t3 turbo!
Have since redesigned oil pipe and all seems ok so far.
