I've got a metro turbo fuel pump to bung on the mini, can't work out the best way to secure it though. Do they need to be rubber mounted? I heard the vanes in them were pretty sensitive...

How has everyone else done this and where have you mounted it?

Thanks for the help. *happy*

Mine is mounted on the rear subframe, bolted on via rubber exhaust cotton reel mounts.

Job done.

on the mutro they have a clamp, like a coil clamp which actually you may be able to use!

My metal bodied filer has rubber insulation around it - around all of this I have fitted a standard coil clamp. I then bolt this to the car

I used a coil bracket, then mounted this on rubber exhaust bobbins.

The pump I bought has big warnings against mounting it in the boot. You certainly can understand that bad things could happen if a hose developed a leak and you had 20psi gasoline spraying around in there with the battery. I'm going for subframe.

If you build it properly, you shouldnt get any leaks.

I'd use cable ties..
