some tw@t has rinsed my debit card online for £467, ordering a load of industrial equipment to a london address.

pretty much the exact thing happened to one of my best mates 2 months ago, and as it was his natwest debit card wasnt covered.

Im not sure if i will be either, every year I pay about a fiver for a thing HSBC call 'Card services' but im not sure it covers online dealings....? gonna have to dig the paperwork out.

To make thing even more fun, now my debit card doesnt work, its an offshore account, so i cant draw funds out over the counter here in the UK, so Im gonna have to borrow a score off my gran to put petrol in my car, just to get me to the ferry tomorow morning...

I got a letter through 2 months ago someone on my natwest card had signed up for mobile phone contracts.... a pace satalite system and subscription and alsorts, even shopping in wilkinsons!

I signed th eletter and got it repayed to me within 2 weeks of it happening.

what bank are you with?

Thats worse than robbing someone of their opening rear windows and not giving them anything in return

This is the thing im really worried about, if it happens then i wont be happy but should get my money back.... why cant people earn money the legal way!

I feel more robbed by the bank when i get a "unpaid cheque charge" or a "overdrawn without authorisation" charge of £60 when its only gone over by 10p

Did you use your debit card for an on-line transaction?

Ive used my switch (debit) loads on the internet for the past 5 or 6 years with no trouble.

Im with HSBC, im hoping that this 'Card services' will cover me on this, as I cant really afford £400 odd quid right now...

Ill go into my home branch on Monday and get to the bottom of it....:(
