Hi All,
names Dave am an oldie (57),ran through the cooper s series in the 70/80s and then suddenly have got back into the hobby glad i kept all my tools from way back..Had a 1430 built to David Vizard spec was an awsome piece of kit Had lots of fun with around salisbury the shell was a bog standard mini one but underneath lurked a beast not to be reckoned with the only way to tell it was any different from a normal mini was the exhaust dave dorrington(maniflow )made it for me it was perched on 4.5 mini lites and 7.5 cooper s brakes with servo.pair of 1.5 carbs 22 mpg 0-60 7 secs topped out at 124 mph darent go any faster!!.Now im awaiting the engine/box from slark race engineering(known bryan since he worked at downton engineering the shell was a mayfair, at present bare just wiring loom in it.all rusty bits cut out and new metal welded.am just getting rid of the black gunk underneath.then make sure alls well as the rebuild progresses,hope to finish by nov 06 anyone that has any info and lives close to salisbury give me a ring and i would be willing to meet up and chat.regards Dave 07766903279... :cool:
