finally got the engine back together after fitting the megajolt kit (and a steering rack!). started it up and, even without it mapped correctly, it was revving a lot quicker and more free. so i decided to take it for a quick spin up the street and back.
OH MY GOD!

its a lot quicker than before! did a half hearted timed 0-60 run. not using full throttle(pinks) i recon i'm close to 6-7 seconds.

i had to come in to wipe my arse!!!!!!!

lol cool, im hoping my clubby will be back on the road within the month. got to fit the megajolt on mine next weekend hopefully and just piss about with the brakes and some paintwork. might catch you round hull sometime then *wink*

lmao we'll see! you part of hull mini club stu? i keep meaning to join up but its one of them things i never seem to get round to doing!
got my intercooler sorted today, refitted the front subby, rebuilt it with all new cones, hi-lo's and arms, and lowered the engine back in to get some mesurements, so been quite a productive day realy *happy* just hope everything arrives this week so i can make it to minis v beetles. think its a bit of a tall order tho :(

If it pinks at full throttle then why not retard the timing figure in your map until it doesn't!

i think its at heyride a week sunday but i think they are going back to nags head to have a look and see if we are still welcome. i am going to try and fiddle with the mapping on friday. the software i have keeps going tits on me so i will have to see how it goes.
