you know that little 'popper' in the plenum chamber, little bit of plastic with a spring behind it, designed to open if boost gets too high. well how have you blocked it off? can i just fill the whole with chemical metal? or should i do it properly and get it welded over?

I removed the trunk from the plenum so i could get inside it. I then used a bolt with a washer plenty big enough to cover the hole where the poppet valve goes, and put the bolt through the hole. I then put a washer on the other end of the bolt inside the plenum. Added some locktite to the surface of the washers, put the nut on the end of the bolt inside the plenum and tightened the nut up. This seals the hole. Mines been like this for several years now, no probs !

Does anyone know when it opens ?
is it 7PSI ?
Or some other higher value ?

I think its 12psi...

I packed out my spring with a few washers and it now seems happy to boost up to about 15-16 psi... which is miles more than I need at the moment!

I always thought it was 10psi, sure it is.

use a ball out of the driveshaft to increase what it goes off at! replace the plastic seal with the ball and your away!
