Ok I know there were two different types - a mini and a metro one. Am i right in thinking the solenoid on the metro one is at 90 degrees to the holes that mount the starter to the transfer case, and the mini solenoid is mounted a little higher???

Now the other part.... Can someone weigh one of these. I'm interested to compare it to the older inertia unit.

Dave, yes you are correct about the solenoids, the Mini type solenoid is mounted higher up, the metro solenoid sticks out towards the front of the car.

The metro one doesn't really fit the mini properly as the solenoid sits out where the grille needs to go.

Can't weigh one I'm afraid as I don't have one.

Dave,

Unfortunatly my scales dont seem to be very accurate :s, but the average from 10 tests was 4.4kg.

Hope this helps
