duplex or simplex timing gear for mg n/a cam in a turbo,is it better to have more accurate timing with the duplex or save a bit of wieght (and the revolving mass thing) and just use the single chain.

Always duplex! The simplex ones stretch far too much. On 13th Jul, 2012 Ben H said:

Yeh, duplex. You could always lighten it a bit if your that way inclined. |

i must have 7 or 8 simplex's bobbing about, might start making clocks out of them and sell them on ebay "Turbo's make torque, and torque makes fun"

Best put a duplex on then,just thought that with the mildish mg cam a simplex would suffice

I had a simplex break up on a engine so for me it`s a duplex all day long !! 1293 Turbo mini
