well good news and bad, i have the hoist hear and its fine for the job. but i cant put the engine in becouse i cant find the socket for the flywheel bolt! i am so anoyed, we got it off using what tools i have hear, i think lol so it must be around. i went to feebles last night to borrow his and its the wrong one i dont know what to do becouse i dont have any money at all to go and buy one and i am stuck hear now:( just thought i would have a moan.
on the plus side the corsa can actually fit the hoist in, even if i do need to be kissing the steering wheel! LOL

If you are stuck will lend you my flywheel bolt socket (have both sizes, 1 1/2" (early) and 30mm (verto))

You'll have to come and fetch it though obviously.

As the correct size is 38.1mm - and you're basically using one 4-thou undersize - I'll let you off.

Don't expect the same from McGyver however....

what do you mean you havent used a spade handle to lever the engine out? *tongue*
or a pick axe for bonnet vents.
i actualy noticed yesterday thanks to toms rant that my imperial spanners do seem to fit better than my metric ones did... but i still never rounded any bolts before that arent completley rusty (eg the rear subby bolts and i did use a 1/2" soket and a 13mm *tongue*)

not so muc done today but i started a little later and had to run around places.

finished building the head back up at jimmys, its now on and torqued up, radiators in. (samco hoses are the biggest pain in the arse ever!!) think thats about it, got the little bits out of the way liek fuel pump and oil filter housing etc, sorted the clutch hose.

so glad i live in bradford today and have people that dont beleive in closing for public holidays and the local DIY shop that stays open and sells me jubilee clips and nuts and bolts at 8 oclcok at night haha!

tomorrows another day
