I'd love alloy conrods.. I know they use them on top fuel dragster, not only becasue of the low weight, but mostly because they act like a small damper. They are not as stiff as H-beams for instance.

I just know that the Top fuelers change their rods after every race weekend. The dont resize them or hone them, they bin them.
Their budget is a bit higher than ours, and I guess they need to handle a bit more power than we do as well *wink*

But, wouldn't a cap in steel and rod in aluminium alloy be a stupid idea? I don't know enought about metalurgy to know.. Heat dissapation, expansion etc?

ITER?? Easy peasy *tongue*

Fastest A Series Mini in the World

leeds/wakefield.

they are a load of shite , if they are froma bonny they will have no offset for the bore spacing ,if they are to fit large bore motors,
my guess is they were experimental and never used.
also old british bikes rarely saw 7000 ,
besides 60's alloys were nowhere near as good as alluninium alloys of today,
basically a nice interesting piece ,but no more,
